Description
The National Forest Foundation, in coordination with the United States Forest Service, is seeking a contractor to clear and remove fallen trees from up to 29 miles of Class 2 and Class 3 non-motorized trails in the Dead Horse Rim area. The work includes logging out large trees and removing them from the trail, moving medium-sized trees to the trail edge to define the corridor, and removing small trees and other woody debris. No other trail work is requested. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, supplies, supervision, quality control, and incidentals necessary to perform the work safely and in accordance with applicable industry standards and Forest Service trail specifications. Personnel performing chainsaw or crosscut-saw work must satisfy applicable training, evaluation, and certification requirements. Proposals must include a technical approach, relevant work experience, references, pricing, project capacity, and the bidder’s anticipated timing for beginning or completing the work. The project is scalable, with payment based on authorized and satisfactorily completed quantities; the listed trail segments total approximately 29 miles. Work is expected to occur during the May-through-October accessibility window and must be completed, inspected, and accepted by November 30, 2027.
