Description
The City of Laconia Department of Public Works is requesting proposals from a professional tree service company to provide on-call tree removal and trimming services as needed, including hazardous tree removal along city streets and sidewalks. Required capabilities include bucket-truck and crane-truck crews, log-truck services, stump grinding, and an 18-inch-capacity chipper. The specified minimum equipment includes a 28-ton crane with a 150-foot reach and an 18-inch-capacity chipper. The contractor must remove all debris on the same day work is completed, leave stumps flush with the ground, avoid dropping tree sections on pavement or curbing, and comply with applicable Department of Labor, OSHA, and ANSI tree-care safety standards. At least one crew member working near utilities must hold EHAP certification, with proof submitted. Proposals must include firm qualifications, relevant experience, at least two customer references with contact information, a detailed cost breakdown, the completed proposal price sheet, and signed required forms.
