Description
The State of Montana Natural Resource Damage Program is soliciting electronic bids for construction of the Racetrack Wetland Restoration Project. The work includes dewatering, regrading borrow ponds and wetland areas, transporting and placing onsite soils and stockpiles, installing 27 brush check dams, installing 45 large logs, and completing associated mobilization, erosion control, access, cleanup, and site-reclamation activities. Contractors must provide GPS/GNSS-enabled heavy equipment for grading to design elevations and must manage sediment, turbidity, invasive species, waste, and environmental protection requirements. The project requires an Information Required of Bidders submission, a proposed work approach and schedule, bidder qualifications, at least three similar floodplain or wetland restoration projects completed within the last five years, equipment-operator experience, subcontractor and supplier information, and a 10% bid security. The successful bidder must provide 100% performance and payment bonds, insurance documentation, a W-9, and EFT information after award. The work period is 30 consecutive calendar days beginning after issuance of the Notice to Proceed; work may not begin before November 15, 2026, and must be completed by May 15, 2027.
