Description
Frenchtown High School is soliciting bids for the replacement of its existing boiler system. The project involves removing existing boilers, pumps, associated specialties, and piping, as well as boiler venting through the roof and propane piping. New equipment includes three Lochinvar FTX725L boilers (or equivalent), Taco 1911ecm pumps, and various hydronic specialties. The new heating water supply and return piping shall be Type L copper with lead-free solder joints or mechanical joints, insulated with fiberglass. Propane piping shall be Schedule 40 black steel. The contractor must provide factory-certified start-up for the boilers, flush and clean the piping, and balance the system to NEBB standards. All work must comply with 2021 IBC, UPC, IMC, IFC, IECC, and 2020 NEC.
