The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is offering for sale three items of standing timber on approximately 357 acres within six separate harvest blocks at Fort A.P. Hill, Bowling Green, Virginia. The timber will be sold by weight (ton) per item, with estimated volumes for pine sawtimber, pine chip-n-saw, pine pulpwood, oak sawtimber, poplar sawtimber, miscellaneous hardwood sawtimber, hardwood pulpwood, and optional chips. The sale includes three items: Item 1 (92 acres, 2 blocks), Item 2 (67 acres, 1 block), and Item 3 (198 acres, 3 blocks). Harvest operations must comply with detailed specifications including tree felling, skidding, processing, and hauling, with completion deadlines varying by block, generally by April 1, 2028, and no tree cutting from April 1 to September 30. The purchaser must adhere to environmental protection measures, including streamside management zones, skid trail closeout, and site rehabilitation. An inspection is scheduled for September 2, 2026, and sealed bids are due by 1:00 p.m. on September 16, 2026.
