Description
The Montana Department of Transportation is soliciting a consulting firm to prepare construction plans and specifications for rehabilitation or reconstruction of the Clearwater Junction Rest Area and adjacent MCS Scale Site. Phase 1 will evaluate existing conditions—including structural integrity, source water, septic systems, and other components—to determine whether rehabilitation or full reconstruction is appropriate. Depending on the selected approach, the consultant may be retained for subsequent design work, although participation in Phase 1 may restrict eligibility for a later alternative-delivery team. The selected consultant will provide engineering and architectural services addressing ADA standards and applicable local, state, and federal building requirements, including Montana Department of Environmental Quality requirements for water and wastewater work. The scope also includes appropriate public involvement activities, quality assurance and quality control, team coordination, and timely project delivery. Proposals must describe team qualifications, related experience, professional licensure, project approach, anticipated challenges, delivery strategy, and relevant software and equipment. The proposal is limited to five pages, excluding the required appendices, and must include resumes, the completed MDT cover page form, and at least five similar contracts from the past three years.
