Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District is soliciting competitive sealed proposals for a lump-sum chiller replacement project at Economedes High School. The work includes replacement of chillers and condenser piping, construction, demolition, electrical and mechanical work, labor, supervision, equipment, materials, coordination, site protection, unit prices, alternates, and all incidental work needed for a complete and operational installation. Proposers must inspect the construction documents and site conditions and coordinate with other contractors as required. Proposals will be evaluated on best value and must include pricing, qualifications and experience, past-performance information and references, proposed project-manager and superintendent resumes, a project-team structure, subcontractor information, required forms, insurance documentation, and bid security. A bid bond equal to 5% of the largest possible proposal, including alternates, is required with the proposal. Performance and payment bonds, each equal to 100% of the contract price, are required within 10 days after acceptance and before contract execution. The work includes a one-year workmanship, equipment, and materials warranty.
