Description
Hidalgo County is soliciting a contractor to provide quarterly, annual, and triennial preventive maintenance and repair services for generators and associated automatic transfer switches. The scope includes PM Levels 1–3, oil and filter changes, coolant and hose replacement, battery and starting-system checks, fuel-system inspections and analysis, megohmmeter testing, transfer-switch maintenance, load-bank testing, and corrective repairs. The contractor must furnish labor and materials, use specified or equivalent parts, comply with applicable electrical, fire-safety, and manufacturer requirements, and provide technician hourly rates and parts markup pricing. The contractor must be factory-trained and authorized to service the listed Caterpillar, Kohler, Generac, Mitsubishi, Detroit Diesel, and associated switchgear equipment. Technicians must be available 24 hours per day, seven days per week, and services will be performed at security-sensitive County facilities. The draft agreement states a two-year term beginning October 21, 2026, with one optional one-year extension.
