Description
The Somerset County Health Department is soliciting proposals from community-based organizations for programs serving low-income communities and areas disproportionately affected by cannabis prohibition. Eligible program areas include behavioral health crisis response, education and after-school programming, truancy intervention, housing and homelessness prevention, transportation improvements, job training, child-care and recreation, and services for people and families impacted by incarceration. Proposals must describe the target population, local need, service approach, organizational capacity, phased implementation and spend-down plan, performance measures using the Results-Based Accountability framework, and a detailed budget. Applicants must provide at least two and no more than three letters of support and a Maryland Certificate of Status evidencing good standing. Awards are expected to range from $10,000 to $100,000, with $588,000 available in total; funded services must be completed by June 30, 2027.
