Description
Contra Costa County Public Works Department is soliciting proposals for on-call, as-needed commercial document destruction services. The contractor must provide secure collection containers, transportation, labor, equipment, and expertise for either mobile on-site shredding or secure off-site plant destruction. Services will primarily support approximately 50 standard banker-box equivalents per service call, with additional requests at County facilities throughout Contra Costa County and no guaranteed minimum or maximum volume. Documents must be destroyed to DIN P-3 or higher standards under a strict chain of custody, with a Certificate of Destruction issued immediately after each service. Proposers must demonstrate commercial shredding experience, current NAID AAA Certification or full HIPAA/FACTA compliance, required licenses and permits, employee background-check protocols, and bondable employees. The proposal requires a narrative, experience statement, pricing form, anti-collusion statement, addenda acknowledgment, business registration form, and supporting certifications and licenses. The proposed term is three years with two optional one-year extensions.
