Description
Davenport Community Schools is soliciting a single-prime, all-trades contractor for the renovation of JB Young Children's Village. The selected contractor must furnish all materials, labor, equipment, and services, including scheduled allowances, necessary to complete the construction in accordance with the procurement and contracting requirements, contract conditions, drawings, specifications, and addenda prepared by Bray Associates Architects, Inc. and its consultants. The scope includes fencing, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and heating, carpentry, flooring, framing, finishing, painting, concrete, landscaping, masonry, roofing, and fire protection. The construction budget is approximately $6 million. The bid requires 5% bid security; award and notice to proceed are conditioned on 100% performance and payment bonds. Contractors must also provide specified insurance coverage, comply with Iowa contractor-registration requirements, complete the Iowa Bidder Status Form, and conduct required criminal-background and sex-offender-registry checks for personnel working on District property.
