Description
Harris County seeks qualified organizations to provide Community Youth Development programming for eligible youth and families in the Gulfton/Southwest and Pasadena service areas. Proposals may cover one or more of seven service components: Youth Advisory Council, Youth Leadership Development, Post-High School Readiness, Academic Support, Arts Enrichment, Sports and Movement, and Family-Focused Activities. Services should promote positive youth development, strengthen protective factors and family well-being, support school engagement and readiness, and reduce risk factors associated with juvenile delinquency. Programming is intended primarily for youth ages 10–17, with specified eligibility for younger youth, and must include meaningful family engagement. Services are intended to be face-to-face; virtual services require justification. The anticipated contract term begins on or about January 1, 2027, for one year, with up to four one-year renewal options. Approximately $458,500 is anticipated to be available for FY 2027 services, and the County may make multiple awards by service component or geographic area.
