Description
The City of Essex Junction is soliciting sealed bids for rehabilitation of Primary Clarifier No. 1 and Secondary Clarifier No. 1 at its Water Resource Recovery Facility. The base bid includes rehabilitation of immersed steel components, concrete floors with grout injection to stop water infiltration, resurfacing and protective lining, and rehabilitation of the aluminum skirt on Primary Clarifier No. 1. Add Alternate A covers atmospheric steel on Primary Clarifier No. 1. Work includes abrasive surface preparation, epoxy and protective coating systems, concrete repair and lining, off-site disposal of removed materials, quality-control inspections and reporting, and compliance with confined-space-entry requirements. Bidders must acknowledge Addendum No. 1, bid every schedule item, and submit a bid bond or certified check equal to at least 5% of the bid amount. The contractor must complete the work within 120 calendar days after commencing seven days after the Notice to Proceed.
