Description
The City of Raleigh is soliciting sealed bids from prequalified subcontractors for the re-bid of construction packages supporting the John Chavis Memorial Park Phase 2 Aquatic Center. The project includes a new two-story, approximately 25,000-square-foot indoor/outdoor aquatic facility with competition and therapy pools, an outdoor activity pool, lazy river, vortex, water recreation area, and two-story waterslide, along with approximately five acres of site development, parking reconfiguration, Heritage Plaza improvements, stone bridge repairs, and trail connections. The facility will include complete civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and site utility systems. The re-bid packages are BP0642 Millwork and Casework, BP0790 Caulking and Sealant, BP0930 Ceramic Tile, BP0960 Resilient Flooring, BP0980 Acoustical Ceilings, BP1010 Signage, BP1050 Lockers, BP1250 Window Treatments, BP2305 HVAC Testing and Balancing, BP2800 Security, and BP3231 Fences and Gates. Bidders must be prequalified subcontractors and must provide evidence of licensing required by North Carolina law and the bidding documents. A bid security equal to five percent of the bid is required for each package. The solicitation package states that bids will be evaluated under the Instructions to Bidders and awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder, subject to the Owner and CMAR's rights to reject bids or waive informalities.
