Description
The Village of Minster is soliciting a lump-sum general construction bid for renovation of the library elevator. The project includes a new two-landing limited-use/limited-application hydraulic elevator within the existing freight-elevator shaft, with a nominal 1,400-pound capacity, 30 feet-per-minute speed, 42-by-60-inch platform, related hoistway and car doors, controls, finishes, lighting, and safety systems. The contractor must coordinate elevator work with other trades and provide required equipment connections, wiring, conduit, fire alarm interfaces, emergency recall functions, and telephone or network communications. The scope also includes modifications to the existing elevator shaft, mechanical equipment, fire alarm system, electrical systems, and related demolition and reconstruction. Work is subject to applicable elevator, electrical, fire-protection, accessibility, prevailing-wage, and local-code requirements. The successful contractor must provide a one-year maintenance contract for the elevator system, complete required testing and training, and comply with the project schedule calling for a desired start of November 15, 2026, and completion by May 31, 2027.
