Description
The City of Fresno is soliciting a lump-sum bid for lead-based paint abatement at 5223 W. Ashlan Avenue and demolition and disposal of residential structures at 5223 and 5245 W. Ashlan Avenue. Work includes removal of buildings, concrete structures, foundations, landscaping, debris, and septic tanks; site clearing, backfilling, compaction, finish grading, and legal disposal of materials; and capping sewer connections and other utilities as required. The project includes a documented lead-based paint hazard at 5223 W. Ashlan Avenue and lead-containing paint at 5245 W. Ashlan Avenue. Bidders must hold a valid California Class C-21 demolition contractor's license, and either the bidder or a subcontractor must possess a current California Department of Public Health LRC certificate or HAZ hazardous-substance-removal certification. The work must be completed within 30 consecutive calendar days after the Notice to Proceed, with prevailing-wage, federal-aid, environmental, safety, and self-performance requirements. A 100 percent payment bond is required for contracts of $25,000 or more.
