Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this Sources Sought/Request for Information notice to gauge interest in a digital non-mydriatic retinal camera suitable for color fundus imaging and fundus autofluorescence (FAF). This equipment is intended for use within the Optometry Department at the Butler VAMC in Butler, PA. The camera must be digital, capable of capturing diagnostic-quality retinal images without dilation, and support adult and geriatric patients. It should provide a minimum 45-degree field of view, image pupils 4.0mm or larger, and produce high-resolution color fundus images. Additional imaging modes such as red-free or monochrome are required. The system must include image acquisition software for viewing, storage, annotation, and export, with support for DICOM Modality Worklist and DICOM Storage for PACS integration. Connectivity requirements include compatibility with Windows 10 or later via USB or Ethernet, and adherence to VA cybersecurity standards. The camera should fit within a standard ophthalmic exam room and operate on standard power. Basic operator training and technical support for setup, configuration, and integration are required. On-site installation or remote commissioning is necessary, along with all required accessories. American-made products are preferred.
