Description
The Town of Wendell is soliciting statements of qualification from professional design consulting firms to provide architectural and engineering services for the build-out of the shell space on the second floor of Town Hall, located at 409 Landing View Drive, Wendell, NC 27591. The selected firm will be responsible for designing construction drawings, preparing bid documents, and providing construction administration services. The design for the existing Town Hall facility was completed by Gensler in 2021, with construction completed in 2023. Funds for design are allocated in the FY2027 budget, and construction is anticipated in FY2028. The goal of this project is to create office space, meeting space, and storage space within the unfinished shell space of Town Hall while maintaining access to the electrical room and mechanical chase. The selected firm will meet with Town staff to understand space needs and then provide options for maximizing the shell space. The firm will then complete bid-ready construction drawings for permitting and construction.
