Description
The City of Lathrop, through its Department of Public Works, is soliciting proposals from qualified consulting firms for professional architectural and engineering design services. The project involves the procurement and construction of a prefabricated metal storage building intended for municipal fleet vehicles and heavy equipment. The scope of services includes preparing comprehensive construction documents (Plans, Specifications, and Estimates), site design coordination, design of building systems (structural, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.), defining performance criteria for the prefabricated metal building system, and providing bidding and construction support. The City requires the building to be designed as a pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) system, with dimensions of 90 feet wide by 200 feet long by 16 feet high. The design should accommodate future improvements such as air conditioning and bathrooms. Proposals should include a cover letter, project understanding and approach, project team details, relevant experience with similar projects, a work plan and schedule, a fee proposal, and any exceptions or clarifications. The anticipated schedule includes proposal due date on July 15, 2026, with a notice to proceed by August 24, 2026, and design completion by December 2026.
