Description
The City of Riverside is soliciting bids for the removal and replacement of floor coverings at the Janet Goeske Senior Center. The base bid covers approximately 6,500 square feet of vinyl plank flooring in the lobby, halls and corridors, and dining area, including moisture testing, installation of a moisture suppression system, subfloor preparation, transition strips, cove base, ADA-compliant thresholds, door and airwall adjustments, finishing, cleanup, and disposal. The specified flooring is Hot and Heavy II Bolder 5.0, Bolder 5.0 832 Bronze, or an approved equal, with 4-inch top-set rubber base and manufacturer-recommended adhesives. Four additive bid items cover approximately 3,100 square feet in the Ken Calvert Room, 4,100 square feet in Rooms D and E, 450 square feet in the Bob Buster Room, and 1,400 square feet in the Billiard Room. The contractor must furnish labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals; hold or obtain a California Class C-15 flooring license; provide proof of similar experience; comply with prevailing-wage, CDBG, Build America, Buy America, and subcontracting requirements; and submit the required bid forms, project qualifications, bid security, and certifications. The contract requires a 30-calendar-day base period, with additional time for awarded additive items, up to 65 calendar days if all schedules are awarded.
