Description
Pitkin County is soliciting proposals for snow removal services on designated roadways in the Redstone area. The base scope covers Redstone Boulevard, Coal Creek Road, Dorais Way, and Osgood Road, with route priorities and specified service limits. Services are generally triggered by snowfall of two inches or more or hazardous roadway conditions and must be available from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., seven days per week, with after-hours emergency availability. The contractor must provide suitable roadway and sidewalk snow-removal equipment, backup equipment or continuity plans, estimated response times, reliable communication during snow events, and methods that protect gravel roads and County infrastructure. Proposers must provide seasonal pricing, an equipment list, a continuity-of-service plan, qualifications, similar-work references, a completed Proposal Form, subcontractor information, and standard rates. Separate pricing is requested for optional sanding and South Bridge sidewalk-clearing services. The initial contract term is January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2027, with up to four additional one-year renewal terms.
