Description
The United States Air Force Academy is conducting market research for a firm-fixed-price requirements contract covering recurring annual quantities of men's and women's compression shorts and swimsuits: approximately 3,300 compression shorts and 670 swimsuits per year. Compression shorts must use form-fitting, moisture-wicking, four-way-stretch fabric in dark navy blue, with men's mid-thigh and women's 2- to 4-inch inseams. Men's swimsuits must be royal blue polyester Taslan garments with mesh liners, drawcord waistbands, and 5- to 8-inch inseams; women's swimsuits must be royal blue, fully lined athletic one-piece suits with an 85/15 polyester-elastane blend, racerback styling, keyhole opening, and built-in shelf bra. The anticipated contract includes a 12-month base period and four consecutive 12-month option periods. The contractor must source all materials and comply with applicable domestic sourcing requirements, including the Buy American Act and Berry Amendment-related DFARS provisions. A first article sample will be required before mass production. The requested capability package must address company qualifications, federal registration and socioeconomic status, ability to supply both product categories, five-year production capacity, domestic sourcing, manufacturing origin, and lead times.
