Description
The City seeks a contractor to provide immediate, short-term and extended-stay lodging for residents displaced when City infrastructure incidents—such as water main breaks or sewer backups—make their homes uninhabitable. Accommodations must be available on demand and continue through the resident’s property restoration. The contractor must offer multiple locations within the City’s boundaries, capacity for large displacement events, family-capable suite or extended-stay units with kitchen or kitchenette facilities, smoke-free rooms, on-site parking, ADA-accessible options, and pet-friendly accommodations. Same-day or next-day lodging is required when feasible, with flexible check-in for emergencies. The contractor must hold applicable lodging permits and comply with relevant housing, safety, employment, and nondiscrimination requirements. The City will pay room charges, applicable pet and parking fees, and taxes through direct billing; residents are responsible for incidental expenses. Proposals must include the City’s completed price schedule. The contract term is five years from its effective date, with compensation capped at $3,000,000.
