Description
The City of Sacramento seeks a contractor to close the 2nd Avenue block between Broadway and 34th Street to vehicular traffic, remove the existing roadway segment, and construct new sidewalks and a Class IV bikeway. Work also includes pavement maintenance and refreshed markings and striping, ADA-compliant curb ramps, roadside signage, landscaping, traffic signal installation, and street lighting improvements, in accordance with the plans and direction of the Engineer. The project is subject to the City's Local Hire and Community Workforce Training Program and Community Workforce Training Agreement when the total bid amount for awarded construction contracts exceeds $1 million. The bid package also identifies Local Business Enterprise requirements. The plans require the prime contractor to hold an active California Class A General Engineering Contractor license; contractors or subcontractors performing electrical work must hold an active Class C10 Electrical Contractor license. The stated project duration is 45 working days.
