Description
The City of Ottawa, Kansas, is soliciting sealed design-build proposals for the turnkey renovation of the basement kitchen at Ottawa Memorial Auditorium. The selected design-builder will provide investigation, professional design, permitting, demolition, construction, materials, equipment, installation, testing, commissioning, training, closeout, and warranty services for a complete, code-compliant commercial/community kitchen in an occupied historic facility. The base scope includes commercial finishes, countertops, shelving, doors, flooring, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, fire-protection coordination, lighting, grease interception, and installation of a new three-compartment sink, commercial dishwasher, and proofing cabinet. The contractor must also coordinate the City-owned commercial range and separately procured hood and fire-suppression system. Proposals must include a technical approach, qualifications and references, schedule, safety information, pricing, insurance and bonding capability, claims disclosure, addenda acknowledgment, and required proposal forms. Two separately priced alternates are requested for entrance reconfiguration and basement lobby restroom renovations.
