Description
Johnson County Park and Recreation District is seeking one or more janitorial companies to service more than 51,000 square feet across five current locations, with the possibility of adding locations in the future. The scope includes recurring cleaning of offices, restrooms, locker and changing rooms, break rooms, meeting spaces, hallways, lobbies, stairwells, storage areas, park facilities, and a nature center with live animals. Services also include floor care, carpet extraction, glass cleaning, disinfection, trash removal, and special-event cleanings. The contractor must provide sufficient staffing, cleaning equipment, materials, microfiber towels, uniforms, equipment maintenance, and a written equipment service plan. JCPRD will provide Hillyard cleaning products and paper products, soap, trash bags, and can liners. Green-certified cleaners or approved equivalents meeting the stated environmental certifications are required. Personnel with unescorted access to secured Park Police areas must undergo fingerprint-based record checks and comply with criminal justice information security procedures. Individual custodial experience may satisfy the experience requirement when properly documented. Antioch Park requires cleaning twice weekly. Snow- and ice-melt extraction is billed per occurrence per location. A performance bond is not required, and pricing must be submitted by location on a monthly basis for annual-cost calculations. Addendum 1 includes a map for parking and entrance to Ernie Miller Nature Center for the September 10, 2026, site visit.
