Description
The City of Lawrence is soliciting construction services for sanitary sewer improvements, including approximately 447 linear feet of 21-inch PVC, 164 linear feet of 16-inch PVC, 2,276 linear feet of 15-inch PVC, and 171 linear feet of 10-inch PVC; eleven four-foot-diameter manholes; three five-foot-diameter inside-drop manholes; manhole rehabilitation with epoxy systems; temporary pumping; dam evaluation and restoration; five stream-crossing restorations; and related sanitary sewer work. The project also includes abandonment of Pump Stations 44 and 45, including removal or salvage of existing equipment, piping, valves, fittings, pavement, structures, and miscellaneous features; abandonment of six air-release valve vaults and existing 8-inch, 10-inch, and 15-inch pipes; and site restoration. Addendum No. 1 provides the previously missing geotechnical engineering report. Addendum No. 2 confirms approved epoxy and polyurethane systems, requires hand spraying, prohibits spun application, and states that alternate bid items will not be considered. Bidders must acknowledge each addendum on the Proposal Document to avoid being considered nonresponsive.
