Description
Nevada County is seeking proposals from qualified vendors and value-added resellers to supply, license, and assist in the deployment of a modern enterprise network access switching solution. The project involves replacing approximately 90 access-layer switches (planning range 80-100 units) across data center, campus, and remote facilities. The solution must support a minimum 7-year lifecycle (10+ preferred), provide a foundation for network access control and Zero Trust security, and integrate with the County's existing security ecosystem, including Palo Alto Networks firewalls. The County requires centralized management ('single pane of glass'), support for 802.1X authentication, NAC, dynamic segmentation, and integration with existing infrastructure (including HPE Aruba). The selected respondent will provide hardware, licensing, design, engineering, deployment, training, and initial support. The contract will be awarded for the duration of the project with two optional one-year renewal periods.
