Description
Placer County's Department of Agriculture, Parks, and Natural Resources, through its Regional Forest Health Division, is seeking a qualified individual or firm to serve as the prime consultant for the Foresthill Divide Community Protection Project. The work will evaluate wildfire risk across more than 50,014 acres of non-federal forest and wildland-urban interface lands, develop detailed forest-resilience treatment plans, and complete environmental review for priority sub-areas to support expedited fuels-reduction implementation. The scope includes CEQA coordination and documentation, including Notices of Exemption and documentation under the 2019 California Vegetation Treatment Program Programmatic Environmental Impact Report; landowner engagement; biological and cultural resource surveys; data analysis; forestry treatment planning; detailed treatment designs; fire modeling; GIS analysis; and preparation of plans and approvals. Specialized tasks may be subcontracted, but the prime consultant will remain the single point of accountability to the County.
