Description
The City of Reno Public Works Department is soliciting a contractor to perform miscellaneous sewer and storm drain collection-system repairs, treated-effluent distribution-system repairs, and emergency/on-call work. The scope includes repairs to pressurized and unpressurized 8- to 30-inch pipe systems; sanitary sewer pipe installation; manhole installation, replacement, raising, lowering, frame and lid replacement; sewer lateral verification and reconnection; bypass pumping; leak detection; confined-space entry; excavation, trenching, backfill, and grouting; and related construction work. The work also includes pavement and surface restoration, concrete and asphalt repairs, pavement striping, traffic control, storm-water protection, CCTV inspection, testing, and coordination with utilities and other agencies. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, materials, and incidentals, comply with Nevada prevailing-wage and apprenticeship requirements, and respond to emergency events within two hours and initiate emergency work within 24 hours after notification. The anticipated project duration is 365 calendar days, with an option to extend the contract for one additional year by mutual agreement.
