Description
Placer County Water Agency is soliciting a construction contractor to perform architectural exterior painting at The Cottages, Five Stall Shop, Hell Hole–Middle Fork Gatehouse, and French Meadows–Hell Hole Gatehouse within its Middle Fork Project. The work includes mobilization and demobilization, environmental controls, hazardous waste disposal, surface preparation, primer and finish-coat application, and all incidental labor, materials, equipment, and services. Existing coatings contain elevated heavy metals, including lead, chromium, and zinc. The contractor must provide containment, hazardous-paint removal and disposal plans, safety and environmental controls, and appropriate testing and documentation. The contractor must be certified to AMPP QP 2, provide relevant project experience, self-perform at least 50% of the contract price except specialty items, and comply with California licensing, prevailing-wage, Department of Industrial Relations registration, and bonding and insurance requirements. The estimated construction cost is $120,000, with a four-month contract time and a $20,000 owner-directed allowance for additional time-and-materials work.
