INVITATION TO BID TRUCKEE MEADOWS WATER AUTHORITY Goldenrod Drive Water Main Improvement PUBLIC WORKS CONTRACT NO. PWP #WA-2027-004 PROJECT SCOPE: Truckee Meadows Water Authority (TMWA) is accepting sealed bids for all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required for the construction of approximately 4250' of 12” ductile iron main and fittings with inline gate valves, flushes, and air release valves. This main will tie into existing mains on both ends with no service laterals or fire hydrants between the points of connection. An existing vault with straight-through piping must be modified to a pressure regulating station with a new concrete vault lid. PRE-BID CONFERENCE: A mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit will be held on September 11, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. at the corner of Goldenrod Dr. and Mountain Meadows Ln., Reno, NV 89511. PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, AND BID SUBMITTAL: Copies of Bidding Documents consisting of the contract documents, specifications, and drawings may be obtained at Truckee Meadows Water Authority Procurement Services - Truckee Meadows Water Authority (tmwa.com). Sealed bids must be submitted electronically via the online bidding system (NGEM). Bids must be RECEIVED NOT LATER THAN 2:00 P.M. on October 1, 2026. Bids received after the date and time set for receipt will be REJECTED. Facsimile and Hard Copy Bids will NOT be accepted. BID OPENING:There will not be a public bid opening as bids are opened electronically. Bid results and the bid tabulation will be posted on NGEM and bidders will be notified electronically of the results. Truckee Meadows Water Authority is soliciting a public works contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals for approximately 4,250 feet of 12-inch ductile iron water main and fittings, including inline gate valves, flushes, and air-release valves. The new main will connect to existing mains at both ends and will not include service laterals or fire hydrants between the connection points. The work also includes modifying an existing vault with straight-through piping into a pressure regulating station and installing a new concrete vault lid. This is a horizontal construction project. A mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit is required, and only bidders attending on time may submit bids. The engineer’s estimate is $2,911,500 to $3,558,500.
