Description
Carson City is soliciting sealed bids for the North Lompa Lane Multi-Use Path Extension Project, a federally funded horizontal construction project. The work includes constructing approximately 1,130 feet of multi-use path connecting Modoc Court to U.S. 50; widening the sidewalk along the south side of U.S. 50 between the I-580 interchange and Lompa Lane; pavement, curb, gutter, sidewalk, curb-ramp, bicycle-ramp, retaining-curb, fencing, signage, striping, and traffic-control work; and associated earthwork, clearing, landscaping, irrigation, lighting, storm drainage, and utility adjustments. The project is subject to FHWA Transportation Alternatives Program funding, Davis-Bacon and Nevada prevailing-wage requirements, and Build America, Buy America Act requirements. The contractor must complete the work within 48 working days after the Notice to Proceed, with anticipated construction beginning in fall 2026. A 5% bid bond is required, and performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract amount are required before contract execution. The solicitation has no DBE or OJT goal.
