Description
Placer County is soliciting bids for contractor(s) to furnish all labor, materials, transportation, equipment, tools, and services necessary to perform biomass removal activities within the French Meadows project area on the Tahoe National Forest. The work involves processing and transporting approximately 2,520 green tons of deteriorated whole-log biomass, including loading, hauling, chipping, and delivery of the processed biomass to the Rio Bravo-Rocklin biomass facility. All activities must comply with the French Meadows Project NEPA decision and applicable procedures for removing forest products from national forest lands. The solicitation is an IFB with online-only submission. A pre-bid job walk is scheduled for September 4, 2026; questions are due September 8, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. PDT; and bids are due September 17, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. PDT, followed by a public opening.
