Description
The Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority is seeking a qualified firm to provide continuous on-site production-line inspection and quality-assurance services for eight low-floor, hybrid BRT-style buses: four 35-foot buses and four 40-foot buses manufactured by Gillig Corporation. Services include reviewing technical specifications, monitoring critical manufacturing and assembly points, documenting defects and corrective actions, conducting final inspections and functional testing, witnessing road tests, and providing weekly and daily inspection reports. The contractor must also perform configuration and post-delivery Buy America audits, verify compliance with Federal Transit Administration requirements under 49 CFR Parts 661 and 663, and provide post-delivery certifications, FMVSS documentation, Buy America checklists, configuration audits, inspection records, and related reports. The quote must be a fixed fee per bus, inclusive of labor, travel, expenses, and overhead. The proposed project team must demonstrate specified transit inspection experience, provide resumes, at least three similar completed projects from the last five years, at least three client references, sample inspection and audit work products, and required certifications and conflict-of-interest disclosures.
