Description
The State Route 4 Bypass Authority is soliciting bids for construction of the Vasco Road Safety Improvements Phase 2 project under the Caltrans 2025 Standard Specifications and Standard Plans. The work includes roadway excavation and grading, aggregate base, hot-mix asphalt paving, drainage systems, concrete work, wildlife passageways and fencing, erosion control, guardrails, traffic striping and pavement markings, and bridge deck widening. Addendum 3 revises bid quantities and items, adds and deletes specification sections, revises plans, and requires bidders to acknowledge the addendum in the Bid Express Addenda tab. Bids must be submitted through the digital bid form, and a bidder's security equal to at least 10 percent of the bid is required. The successful bidder must furnish payment and performance bonds equal to at least 100 percent of the total bid. The project also includes substantial temporary field-office, site-preparation, utility, internet, maintenance, and environmental-protection requirements.
