Description
The State of Alaska Department of Corrections is soliciting proposals for comprehensive behavioral health services for individuals in custody at Anvil Mountain Correctional Center in Nome, Ketchikan Correctional Center, Spring Creek Correctional Center in Seward, and Yukon-Kuskokwim Correctional Center in Bethel. The selected contractor will provide and manage qualified mental health clinicians, including screenings, assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, case management, release planning, documentation in the department's electronic health record, quality assurance, and coordination with medical, psychiatric, security, and reentry personnel. Services must use a hybrid delivery model, with at least monthly onsite visits to Anvil Mountain, Ketchikan, and Yukon-Kuskokwim, and fully onsite services at Spring Creek Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The contractor must also provide suicide-prevention training, staffing and backfill plans, licensed or license-eligible clinicians with at least a master's degree in a relevant clinical field, resumes and qualifications for proposed personnel, and compliance with correctional-facility security, background-check, HIPAA, PREA, NCCHC, and department policy requirements. The contract is expected to run from approximately January 1, 2027, through June 30, 2027, with three optional one-year renewals.
