Description
This Sources Sought announcement seeks qualified prime contractors capable of performing advance-measures construction for flood-damage prevention at Mendenhall Glacier. Potential work includes clearing and grubbing, tree removal, cost engineering, temporary fencing, safety barriers, earthwork, concrete placement, riprap placement, and related construction activities. Firms must demonstrate the ability to repair, construct, and fortify gabion basket temporary flood barriers and earthen berms, provide construction support services, and construct work elements in accordance with Corps of Engineers plans, specifications, guidelines, and required formats. Interested firms must submit a capabilities package of no more than five pages describing their business information, business type, CAGE Code and UEI Number, and relevant prime-contractor experience on similar projects completed within the past five years, including project locations, descriptions, dollar amounts, and self-performed work. The announcement notes that options for multiple additional years may be included in a future solicitation; this notice is for market research only and is not a solicitation for proposals.
