Description
The Anchorage Water and Wastewater Utility is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide as-needed water distribution system condition assessment services through contract task orders. The scope includes knowledge and deployment of non-destructive inspection and condition assessment technologies for water mains; management and coordination of condition assessment vendors and subcontractors; permitting and work-safety compliance; coordination with utility engineering staff; and preparation of reports, memoranda, and data formatted for GIS, CMMS, or other approved systems. Work may occur during days, nights, weekends, and winter conditions. The Municipality intends to award up to two three-year term contracts. Each contract has a not-to-exceed amount of $1,500,000, with no guaranteed minimum work. Proposals must address firm qualifications and experience, project manager and team qualifications, contractor location, cost, and any applicable veteran preference. The proposal package includes a completed cost scenario worksheet for a hypothetical acoustic assessment of water mains, including vendor coordination, daily reports, and a final report.
