Description
The University of Alaska is soliciting proposals for as-needed maintenance, diagnostic, and repair services supporting the University of Alaska Fairbanks fleet of approximately 200 vehicles and specialized equipment. The scope includes mechanical, engine, transmission, brake, suspension, steering, electrical, heating and cooling, preventive maintenance, exhaust, tire, emergency, and related repair services for light-duty, medium-duty, heavy-duty, passenger, utility, emergency-response, and specialized equipment such as forklifts, generators, tractors, golf carts, and lawn mowers. OEM parts are preferred when available, and after-market parts require University approval. The contractor must provide written diagnostics and estimates, obtain written work authorization before beginning work, support priority and emergency requests, and document completed work. The solicitation requires a technical proposal and separate rate response, with the technical proposal limited to 15 pages excluding mandatory University documentation. Required submittals include the Proposal Transmittal Form, Past Performance Information Form, Key Personnel Information Form, Rate Response Form, Warranty Information and Certification, Statement of Compliance Form, Representations, Certifications and Statements of Offerors, and a Technical Proposal. The contract is expected to begin January 4, 2027, with an initial period through January 30, 2028, and up to four additional one-year renewal periods. The contract is firm-fixed-price and subject to funding availability.
