The U.S. Forest Service seeks a contractor to replace two single-vault toilets at the 18 Mile and One-Eyed Pond sites and one double-vault outhouse at the Alaganik Slough recreation area. Base work includes mobilization, clearing and grubbing, demolition and decommissioning of existing outhouses, excavation, aggregate placement, concrete pads, and installation of new vault toilets. The specifications identify Romtec 1004 and 1008 models, or approved equals, with associated vaults, anchors, ventilation, fixtures, and covered entrances. Optional work includes aggregate for the Mile 22 picnic area, construction of one sheltered picnic structure at Mile 22, construction of two sheltered picnic structures at Alaganik Slough, a new camping pad and parking area, and widening or regrading existing camping and parking pads. The contractor must provide construction planning and submittals, quality control, erosion and traffic-control measures, material certifications and testing, shop drawings, and compliance with applicable construction wage requirements. The Government intends to make one firm-fixed-price award and requires pricing for all base and option items.
