The United States Air Force is conducting a Sources Sought market-research effort for 4,500 gallons of Arctic Blend lavatory fluid in a single shipment. The requested product is a ready-to-use, non-corrosive, potassium-free antifreeze/anti-icing aircraft lavatory fluid with deodorizer, governed by AFI 24-605 Volume 2 and containing an aircraft toilet additive certified to SAE AMS 1476. The fluid must meet the stated materials-compatibility and corrosion requirements and remain usable in extreme cold, including storage in external tanks at temperatures associated with Fairbanks, Alaska. A summer-temperature dilution schedule covering temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit is also required. The delivery contractor must provide a 3-inch quick-disconnect fitting, hose, and pressure valve and transfer the fluid into the storage tank. The response is for market research only; no solicitation is currently available and no contract award will result from this notice.
