Description
Ontario-Montclair School District is soliciting proposals from qualified transportation companies to provide student transportation throughout and outside the District, including regular home-to-school routes, special education transportation, summer school, extended school year services, evening and weekend events, field trips, overnight trips, and other school-sponsored activities. Services may require school buses, transit-style buses, ambulatory minibuses, wheelchair-accessible minibuses, vans, drivers, attendants, dispatching, routing, scheduling, vehicle maintenance, safety programs, and related operational support. Proposers must submit pricing for activity-trip transportation and describe their company, personnel and staffing resources, dispatch system, startup plan, service methodology, experience, references, customer-service approach, vehicles, and compliance capabilities. The solicitation also requires several completed District forms and certifications, including the Bid Proposal Questionnaire, workers' compensation certification, equal opportunity certification, taxpayer identification certification, debarment certification, federal funding compliance certifications, vendor application, and noncollusion affidavit. The initial contract term is one year, with annual extensions up to a total of five years. Required insurance includes general liability, automobile liability, workers' compensation and employer's liability, sexual abuse or molestation, and umbrella liability coverage; the solicitation states that a performance bond is not required.
