Description
Davenport Community Schools is soliciting a single-prime, all-trades construction contractor for the North High School Addition and Renovations Phase 2 project. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, utilities, transportation, and services necessary to complete the work in accordance with the procurement and contracting documents, drawings, specifications, project manuals, and addenda. The scope includes civil and landscaping work, plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, electrical work, demolition, testing and inspection allowances, moisture vapor emission control, and other construction trades. Bidders must submit a base bid, trade-specific pricing, and specified unit prices, along with required forms and attachments including the Iowa Bidder Status Form, W-9, insurance certificates, bid security, and any applicable substitution request. The solicitation requires acknowledgments concerning bid materials, addenda, sales and use tax, suspension and debarment, criminal background checks, and sex-offender-registry compliance. A five-percent bid security is required; the successful bidder must provide 100-percent performance and payment bonds and required insurance before contract performance. The proposed-subcontractor list is due within 48 hours after bids are due only if the bidder is the lowest responsible bidder.
