Description
Taylor School District is requesting bids for transportation services for students experiencing homelessness, providing daily travel between each student's current residence and school. The contractor should provide secure and reliable cab transportation, trip tracking, a parent-accessible mobile application, strong safety protocols, background-checked drivers who can work with children, and compliance with all applicable State of Michigan driver rules and regulations. Bidders should provide pricing for the requested services and include professional-development costs if applicable. Preference will be given to vendors able to facilitate split billing with partnering districts and reduce administrative burden on district staff. The bid must include a signed cover letter proposing an agreement for the services and the required bidder forms and certifications, including the Bidder Information Form, notarized Certification of No Familial Relation or Other Conflict of Interest, notarized Iran Economic Sanctions Act Certification, Bidder Certification, Contractor Code of Conduct, W-9, at least one qualifying public-entity reference letter, and other requested supporting documentation. Required insurance includes workers' compensation, general liability, automobile liability, contingent liability, and contingent property-damage coverage at the stated limits. One sealed original and two sealed copies must be submitted by mail or hand delivery; electronic submissions are not accepted.
