Description
The State of Utah Division of Facilities Construction and Management is soliciting proposals from DFCM Stage II Prequalified Code Inspection Contractors for code and special inspection services for Convergence Hall, an approximately 163,000-square-foot, six-story facility in Draper, Utah, containing office, maker-space, retail, event, and housing areas. The selected contractor will provide code and special inspection and testing services and manage DFCM-approved special inspection and testing firms. All special inspection contractors, material testing laboratories, and special inspectors working on DFCM projects must appear on the applicable DFCM approved lists. The estimated inspections budget is $650,000. Proposals will be evaluated on statement of qualifications, management plan, distance to the project site, and past performance. The proposal package must address the contractor's qualifications, inspection approach, management of subconsultants, scheduling, organizational structure, current major projects, and inspector travel distance. The solicitation requires a combined PDF proposal, a signed DFCM Termination or Debarment Form, and, when applicable, the DFCM Past Performance References Form. The project is expected to begin construction in January 2027 and reach completion in May 2029.
