Description
The University of Utah is soliciting professional special inspection, structural observation support, and materials testing services for a new below-grade South Campus Drive parking garage. The approximately $120 million, two-phase project will provide at least 1,560 parking stalls and is being constructed in an active campus environment. The selected firm will support inspections and testing for soils and earthwork, deep foundations and support-of-excavation systems, groundwater control and dewatering, reinforced and post-tensioned concrete, structural steel, waterproofing, fireproofing, firestopping, mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems, and seismic and wind-force-resisting systems. Firms must be on the University’s approved lists, hold applicable certifications and laboratory accreditations, comply with Utah licensing requirements, and demonstrate capacity to respond to multiple inspection requests and locations. The submission must combine the management plan and statement of qualifications into one PDF, include references and required certifications, and address team qualifications, project management, communication, site distance, and travel charges.
