Description
The City of Cincinnati, through Greater Cincinnati Water Works, is soliciting dry sodium hexametaphosphate in 50-pound moisture-proof multi-wall paper bags and 36% liquid sodium hexametaphosphate delivered by dedicated tank trucks. Estimated quantities for the initial six-month period are 8 tons of dry product and 320 tons of liquid product, with minimum orders of 40 bags and 3,000 gallons, respectively. Pricing must include delivery to the designated facilities, freight, and handling. Products must comply with the latest ANSI/AWWA B502 standard and applicable potable-water requirements, including ANSI/NSF Standard 60 certification. The dry product must meet specified water-insoluble-content and packaging requirements, and the liquid product must contain at least 10 mg/L free chlorine residual when delivered. The initial contract period is February 1, 2027, through July 31, 2027, with three optional six-month renewal periods. Bidders must submit pricing for all commodity lines, completed bid forms and questionnaires, the required manufacturer and bidder certifications, a completed pricing spreadsheet, a bid surety of at least 10% of the total bid, required samples of both products, and a current safety data sheet. Samples must be delivered before the bid deadline. The solicitation also requires specified insurance and permits price adjustments during renewal periods based on the Producer Price Index.
