Description
The City of Everett is soliciting a supplier for potable-water-treatment-grade liquid hydrofluosilicic acid (H₂SiF₆) to treat drinking water at its Water Filtration Plant. The product must contain 23%–30% H₂SiF₆ by weight, comply with ANSI/AWWA Standard B703-11/B703-19 requirements, be certified by an ANSI-accredited listing agency, be suitable for water treatment, and meet applicable United States Environmental Protection Agency requirements. Each shipment must include a Certificate of Analysis and a current Safety Data Sheet, and the supplier must provide samples as specified. The supplier is responsible for bulk deliveries of approximately 4,000–5,000 gallons, including compatible delivery equipment, pneumatic unloading, spill-response capability, and delivery coordination. Deliveries must generally occur within five business days or an agreed schedule, with at least 24 hours' notice to plant staff. The solicitation estimates 300 tons but does not guarantee any quantity. Responses must address qualifications, technical capability, delivery capacity, quality assurance, customer service, subcontracting, and up to five relevant contracts completed within the past three years. The anticipated contract term is two years with successive one-year renewal options.
