Description
The County of Ventura Watershed Protection District is soliciting a contractor for the Barlow Barranca Channel Replacement D/S of Maple Street project. The work includes removing and disposing of approximately 117 linear feet of existing reinforced-concrete channel; installing 24 sections of 10-foot-wide by 7-foot-high by 4-foot-long precast reinforced-concrete box with a subdrain system; constructing approximately 21 linear feet of cast-in-place reinforced-concrete channel transitions; and building approximately 227 square yards of six-inch-thick crushed miscellaneous base access road. The project also includes excavation, fill and backfill, water pollution control, diversion and removal of water, excavation safety and shoring, concrete and reinforcing steel, filter materials and fabric, chain-link fencing and gates, steel ladders and pipe handles, slope protection, topsoil, traffic control, and removal of existing facilities. The estimated construction cost is $1,058,235. The contractor must hold a Class A California contractor's license, comply with prevailing-wage and Department of Industrial Relations registration requirements, submit a 10% bid guarantee, and furnish 100% performance and payment bonds after award. The stated completion period is 225 working days, with the contract starting 28 calendar days after award.
